Resistance in Parallel

Resistances in Parallel:

Today we are going to see about Resistance in parallel. In Resistance in parallel circuit, all of the resistor leads on one side of the resistors are connected together to get input current and all the leads on the other side are connected to give the output current.

In this case.

·        Potential difference across all resistances is the same.

·        Current in each resistor is different.

·        The total current is the sum of the separate currents.

The main characteristics:

·        Same voltage

·        Different resistors have their individual current.

·        Branch currents are additive.

·        Conductances are additive.

·        Powers are additive.
